Terms of Use

These terms govern your use of PermaPress, operated by Yachtcopter LLC (“we”, “us”): the public site at permapress.xyz, the authoring app at app.permapress.xyz, the desktop app, and related services.
By using PermaPress you agree to these terms and to the Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use it.
You must be at least 13, or the digital-consent age in your jurisdiction if higher. You represent that you are allowed to use the service where you live.
The service
PermaPress is a publishing tool. You connect a wallet to write, import, and publish. Published words and images are stored on Arweave and attested on Ethereum. This website is a view of those records. It is not the record.
Source code for PermaPress may be available under open-source licenses. Those licenses govern the code. These terms govern the hosted service we operate.
We may change, suspend, or discontinue the hosted service. We will not claim that taking a page off this host erases the underlying record.
Your account
Your wallet is your account. You are responsible for the security of that wallet and for activity conducted with it.
Publishing and your content
You retain whatever rights you have in content you submit. By publishing, you grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host, reproduce, and display that content as needed to operate PermaPress — including rendering public pages and using network infrastructure.
You represent that you have the rights to publish what you publish, and that it does not violate the law or these terms.
Content you publish is public.
Publish and Unpublish
Publish writes a version to the network and makes a page available on this host.
Unpublish takes the page off this host and out of default Seed-client views. A copy of the record remains on the network. We cannot delete Arweave bytes or Ethereum attestations.
Acceptable use
You agree not to use PermaPress to:
- Publish anything illegal, or that infringes others’ rights
- Harass, threaten, or incite violence
- Distribute malware, spam, or phishing
- Mislead others about who you are in a way that causes harm
- Attempt to disrupt or abuse the service
We may remove a page from this host, suspend access, or refuse the service if you violate these terms or the law. Removal from the host is the remedy we can perform. It is not erasure of the network record.
To report abuse or infringement, email privacy@yachtcopter.com with enough detail to find the page.
Premium
Premium features, when offered, are billed as a recurring subscription through Stripe. Price, interval, and what is included are shown at checkout.
Subscriptions renew until you cancel. Cancel in the app through the billing portal — the same medium you used to subscribe. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current period unless the portal says otherwise.
Charges already made are not refunded except where the law requires. We do not store your card number.
Our intellectual property
The PermaPress name, marks, and the design of the hosted service are ours. You may not use our marks except as needed to refer to the service.
Open-source components remain under their licenses.
Disclaimers
The hosted service is provided as is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or available forever. Public networks we rely on are outside our control.
Nothing here limits rights that the law does not allow us to limit.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost data, or business interruption.
We remain liable for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, and any other liability that cannot be limited.
Our total liability for a claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or the minimum the law requires, whichever is greater. If you paid nothing, liability is limited to the minimum the law allows.
Indemnity
You will indemnify us and our officers and agents against claims arising from content you publish or from your breach of these terms, except to the extent a claim is caused by our negligence or our breach.
Where consumer law restricts indemnity, this clause applies only to the extent allowed.
Termination
We may suspend or end your access if you materially breach these terms. Where the breach can be cured, we will give you 14 days’ notice. We may act immediately for illegal activity, infringement, or harm to others.
You may stop using PermaPress at any time. Unpublish is the way to take your pages off this host. Ending use of the hosted service does not delete network records.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which Yachtcopter LLC is organized, excluding conflict-of-law rules, except where mandatory consumer law says otherwise. Disputes will be heard in courts that have jurisdiction under that law.
Changes
We may update these terms by posting a new version on this page with a new effective date. Continued use after that date is acceptance of the new terms. Prior versions are available on request at privacy@yachtcopter.com.
