Privacy Policy

This policy describes how Yachtcopter LLC (“we”, “us”) handles information when you use PermaPress — the website at permapress.xyz, the authoring app at app.permapress.xyz, the desktop app, and related services (together, “PermaPress”).
We keep as little as we can. We do not run an email list, advertising pixels, or product analytics. Some information is still processed so the product can function. Our Terms of Use cover publishing, Unpublish, and Premium.
What we process
When you use PermaPress, we or our processors may handle:
- Your wallet address, and a signed login (SIWE) that becomes a session token stored in your browser
- Billing records if you subscribe to Premium: Stripe customer and subscription identifiers. Stripe processes payment details; we do not store card numbers
- Information Thirdweb processes if you connect or create a wallet through their service, which may include an email if you use an in-app or social wallet
- Server logs created by our hosting provider (typically IP address, user-agent, and request time)
- Content you choose to publish: titles, prose, images, and related metadata
We do not require a name or password. Your wallet is the account.
What is public and what we cannot erase
Published posts and images are written to Arweave and attested on Ethereum. Those networks are public and append-only. We cannot delete those bytes.
Unpublish takes a page off this host. It does not claim the record is gone.
How we use information
We use the information above to operate PermaPress: to authenticate you, to render public pages, to process Premium subscriptions, and to keep the service secure.
We do not sell personal information. We do not share it for cross-context advertising.
Processors and public networks
- Stripe — payments and the customer billing portal
- Thirdweb — wallet connection and authentication
- Vercel and our application host — serving the site and app; request logs
- Arweave, Ethereum, and Seed Protocol / EAS — public networks that store and attest published records
These parties process information under their own terms. Public-network data is visible to anyone.
Cookies
The authoring app uses local storage for a session token so you stay signed in. That is necessary for the service. We do not set advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this policy.
Your rights
You may ask us for access to, correction of, or deletion of personal data we hold. Contact privacy@yachtcopter.com.
We can delete host-side account and billing records we control, subject to legal retention (for example, invoices). We cannot erase Arweave transactions or Ethereum attestations.
If you are a California resident, you also have the right to know what we collect, to delete personal information we hold, to opt out of sale or sharing (we do neither), and not to be discriminated against for exercising those rights. Email the same address.
You can stop further collection by disconnecting your wallet and not using PermaPress.
Children
PermaPress is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has used the service, contact us.
Retention
Session tokens last until you disconnect or they expire. Billing records are kept for the life of the subscription and as long as tax or accounting law requires. Hosting logs are kept for a short operational period by the host. Published records on public networks persist indefinitely.
Security and breaches
We use standard technical and organizational measures for the systems we control. No method of transmission is perfectly secure. If a breach of personal data we hold must be notified, we will notify you as the law requires.
International transfers
Our processors may handle data in the United States and other countries. Where the law requires a transfer mechanism, we rely on the mechanisms those processors provide (such as Standard Contractual Clauses).
Changes
We will post updates on this page with a new effective date. Material changes will be posted before they take effect.
